I'm Danielle Riendeau, and this is my page of tiny games I've made solo. You can follow me on Bluesky or Twitter too, where I post about all my adventures and projects. You can also check out my pixel art portfolio on ArtStation (and more on that below!)
Work:
Full time, I'm the editor-in-chief at Game Developer, a website for (you guessed it!) game developers. Part time, I teach game design courses at the Berklee College of Music, and very part-time, I'm an emergency medical technician at the Gotham Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
Fiction:
You can check out my story-based games right here on my itch profile. I'm also a hobbyist screenwriter with a taste for horror and sci-fi especially. My latest, Lakeside, was an official selection at the Austin After Dark Film Festival and finalist at the 2022 13 Horror film festival.
Art:
I recently decided to become a pixel artist (mostly so I can bring my little games fully to life!) Here's a tiny sampling, and you can find more on my ArtStation.
Cool extras:
I'm a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and train and compete in submission grappling! This is basically a ridiculously fun sport that's 80% Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with a bunch of wrestling and Judo thrown in the mix.
I live and work in Brooklyn, with my partner and our ridiculously cute stable of three cats and a very weird, small dog.
