This is an itty-bitty tiny little game I worked on for far too long, about my life in San Francisco and New York City. Just a slice of personal reflection, living in what I still consider to be the most beautiful city in America, not wanting to leave, and finding something special in Brooklyn.

Controls: move left and right with the arrow keys. To advance to the next or the previous scene, click on the "next" or "back" button.

Special thanks to Patricia Hernandez, Patricia, Richard and Celeste Riendeau, Finn and Drake. Without my family, I'd never be where I am today.

i hope your game is good

I don't know if it was intentional or because you were becoming more skilled as you built the game but the switch to a parallax background once the story reached Brooklyn was really good. I know the beach may have made use of it in the beginning scene. But it helped evoke a sense of there being more out there, more possibility to being in New York than what remained of San Francisco.

I lived in the bay area from 2011-2016, went there for college, met some of my best friends and had some of the greatest experiences of my life. I moved back home to Chicago in early 2016 due to ridiculous cost of living and wanting to be closer to my aging parents. I like where I am now, but I still miss the bay area(specifically Berkeley), and I think about it every single day.

Thanks for the memories.

I really liked how the pets/EMT part of the narrative was revealed as you walked past a dog and cat and ambulance :) Also, not sure if intentional, but I liked how the change to Brooklyn had the character drop down from the sky a bit.
