The Tunnel: adventures in pixel art!

I haven't updated the devlog in a hot minute, but I have been working on this project. I've been working on it even when not *precisely* working on it, since I've been really working on some rudimentary pixel art skills! I've been doing pixel dailies and practicing some basic skills every day, and then taking some of those lessons and applying to drafts of illustrations for this game, all in the hopes of having something a little more evocative and interesting to look at for players.

I also participated in a tiny game jam recently, using some of the visual novel and sound manager code I'm building for this. It's been fun!

As such, I'm updating the art on the project with a few fresher works-in-progress.

I won't put a specific due date on this project (my life is just a little too packed for that, on my own small personal projects), but I am happy with the progress recently. I'm hoping that overall, developing some very basic art skills helps me to be a better game dev and better visual communicator across the board.

The path of developing art skills is one fraught with difficulties in some regards, but it is greatly fulfilling!!! Hopefully the pixel arting is fun to do, though, first and foremost. That's the most important part of arting!!! At any rate, though... GANBAAA WITH THE TUNNEL DEV!!! And, like, y'know... everything life-related, pff. GANBA WITH EVERYTHING!!!
